Oriental Motor's company history dates back to 1885, when Yasutaro Kuraishi laid the foundations for the production and sale of electrical medical devices. Shortly afterwards, the production of motors began. After the Second World War, the company was renamed "Toyo Dendoki" as a public limited company in 1950 and changed its name to "Oriental Motor" in 1953. While the initial focus was on the development and production of asynchronous motors, other product groups were added over time, such as brushless motors, stepper motors, servomotors, actuators and fans.
Today, customers can choose from over 50,000 high-quality products and the company employs over 3,000 people worldwide. In Europe, in addition to the European headquarters in Düsseldorf, there are branches in the UK, France, Italy and Switzerland. Oriental Motor also cooperates with sales partners in many European countries.
